Der Fluss Acherontas durchquert die Pr\u00e4fekturen von Ioannina, Thesprotia und Preveza und hat eine Gesamtl\u00e4nge von 64 km. Er ist seit der Antike schiffbar und ist heute einer der wichtigsten und saubersten Fl\u00fcsse Griechenlands. Der Acheron ist jedoch ein einzigartiger Fluss, den jeder \u00fcberqueren und erkunden kann. Der Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr die \u00dcberquerung des Flusses und der Quellen ist unser Hotel. Vom Hotel aus beginnt ein 300 Meter langer Weg, der Sie zur ersten gro\u00dfen Quelle des Flusses f\u00fchrt. <\/p>

Dann setzen Sie den Weg durch das Wasser fort und haben die Gelegenheit, die anderen Quellen entlang des Flusses sowie die gro\u00dfen Schluchten der Schlucht zu sehen.<\/p>

Der Volks\u00fcberlieferung zufolge war das Wasser des Flusses Acheron bitter, da ein „Geist“ (Monster), der an der Quelle lebte, das Wasser vergiftete. Der Heilige Donatos, Schutzpatron der Metropole Paramythia von Thesprotia, t\u00f6tete den Geist und das Wasser des Acheron wurde s\u00fc\u00df. So kam das Dorf Glyki zu seinem Namen. <\/p>

Ein weiteres interessantes Element aus der antiken griechischen Mythologie, das von der Kontinuit\u00e4t dieses Themas in der modernen Volkstradition zeugt, ist das folgende: W\u00e4hrend der Titanenschlacht tranken die Titanen Wasser aus dem Acheron, um ihren Durst zu stillen.
