Heiliges Kloster von Giromeri<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ein sehr wichtiges byzantinisches Denkmal ist das Kloster Giromeri, das der Himmelfahrt der Jungfrau Maria gewidmet ist und dessen Gr\u00fcndung auf die erste H\u00e4lfte des 14. Es liegt am s\u00fcdwestlichen Hang des Farmakovouni-Gebirges, n\u00f6rdlich von Filiates, ganz in der N\u00e4he der Siedlung Giromeri und ist heute eine der wichtigsten kirchlichen Einrichtungen von Thesprotia und Epirus im Allgemeinen. Ihr Gr\u00fcnder war eine bedeutende Pers\u00f6nlichkeit, der Heilige Nilos Erichiotis (ca. 1250-1336\/7), der aus Konstantinopel und insbesondere aus der kaiserlichen Familie der Laskariden stammte.
Das heutige Katholikon stammt laut einer Inschrift an der S\u00fcdseite der Kirche aus dem Jahr 1568 und ist das Ergebnis einer gr\u00fcndlichen Renovierung durch Isaris Osiotis, einen Einwohner von Pogoniani. Sie geh\u00f6rt zum Typ der vierkonischen, kreuzf\u00f6rmigen Inschriftenkirche, in deren Mitte sich die polygonale Kuppel erhebt. An der Westseite befinden sich ein niedriger Narthex und ein Exonarthex, der urspr\u00fcnglich die Form einer offenen Front hatte.
In diesem byzantinischen Monument stammen die Fresken der Kirche aus dem Jahr 1679 und wurden auf Kosten von Panos Ieromnemonas aus Ioannina angefertigt, der zusammen mit dem Bischof von Giromerios Parthenios auf den Fresken der Nordwand abgebildet ist. Das Kloster war eine kurze Zeit lang ein Priesterseminar. Von besonderem Interesse ist die byzantinische Ikone der Jungfrau Maria auf einem Schrein in der Kirche, die ein pr\u00e4chtiges Werk aus dem fr\u00fchen 14. Jahrhundert ist und mit Hosios Nilos in Verbindung gebracht wird.
Der katholische Teil des byzantinischen Monuments wird im Norden und S\u00fcdosten von Zellen und anderen Nebengeb\u00e4uden flankiert, die auf verschiedenen Ebenen gebaut und von einer hohen Br\u00fcstungsmauer umgeben sind.
Das Kloster ist auch heute noch mit m\u00e4nnlichen M\u00f6nchen in Betrieb und ist f\u00fcr seinen sozialen Beitrag bekannt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Heiliges Kloster des Heiligen Demetrios<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Das Kloster befindet sich in dem Dorf Kypseli in der Pr\u00e4fektur Preveza.<\/p>

Die Kirche wurde 1242 vom Despoten von Epirus Michael V. Herzog erbaut, wie eine Backsteininschrift auf der Trommel des S\u00fcdfensters des Querbogens bezeugt. Die seitlichen Anbauten (Kapellen) wurden in einer sp\u00e4teren Phase errichtet und der Narthex wurde Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts gebaut. Zeitgleich mit dem Katholikon steht der Altar des Klosters, der in die Kirche St. Georg umgewandelt wurde. Die Fresken der katholischen Kirche stammen aus dem 17. bis 18. Jahrhundert. Die katholische Kirche des Klosters ist in gutem Zustand erhalten. Die Kirche ist eine dreischiffige kreuzf\u00f6rmige Kirche (eine dreischiffige Basilika mit einem Querbogen). An den drei Seiten der Kirche, mit Ausnahme der \u00f6stlichen, befinden sich Anbauten, ein Narthex im Westen und dreiteilige Kammern im Norden und S\u00fcden. Das Mauerwerk besteht aus Ziegeln (Kalksteine, die von Ziegeln flankiert werden) und weist eine reiche Keramikverzierung auf, insbesondere in der Apsis.
