Historic Souli and Souli Watermills
The Souli area, a destination on the borders of Thesprotia, Preveza, and Ioannina prefectures, extends in a naturally fortified position, in an area with rugged terrain, between the mountains of Paramythia and the ridge formed by the Souli mountains. The Souliotes became known for their unrivaled bravery and war skills, said to have fought to the death to maintain their independence. The women of Souli also played an important role in the village’s defense against Ottoman invaders. You can visit the ruins of the old village, including the Kiafa Castle that served as the center of Souli’s defense. It is also imperative to visit the watermills of Souli. Finally, the nearby chapel of Saint Donatus was also built by the Souliotes and serves as a reminder of their long and historic history.
Acheron Delta
In the village of Ammoudia, beyond the sandy beach, the Acheron Delta is the village’s trademark.
At this destination, right next to Ammoudia beach, the river delta is formed, from which the two main marshes of the area are shaped, the Splantza marsh and the Valanidorachi marsh.
More than 150 bird species have been observed in the Acheron Delta area, making the flora and fauna of the area particularly noteworthy, which consists of abundant small fish, eels, frogs, butterflies, and a few harmless water snakes, while in its last section, that of the “Forest of Persephone”, a truly wonderful riverside route of several kilometers begins.

Preveza
Preveza is a small town in the Epirus region of Greece, where the Adriatic Sea meets the Ionian Sea. This charming destination is full of history, culture, and natural beauty, with a plethora of tourist attractions to explore. Whether you’re interested in relaxing on the beach, delving into ancient history, or experiencing Greek culture, this town is sure to have something you’ll enjoy.
One of the main attractions of Preveza is the ancient city of Nicopolis. Founded by Octavian-Augustus in 31 BC to honor his victory over the fleet of Antony and Cleopatra, this city served as the capital of the Roman province of Epirus. Today, you can explore the ruins of Nicopolis, such as the impressive Odeon and the ancient walls that once surrounded the city.
Parga: The Riviera of Epirus
Nestled along the Ionian coast, between the cities of Preveza and Igoumenitsa, lies the small picturesque town of Parga.
Overlooking the bay is the Parga Castle, built by the Venetians in the 15th century. The impressive Parga Castle sits at the top of the town, providing stunning panoramic views of the town and surrounding sea.
Parga is a destination known for its amazing beaches, and there’s a beach to suit every taste. Valtos Beach in Parga is the largest and undoubtedly the most popular, a long crescent of golden sand with crystal clear waters and plenty of space for sunbathing. It can be quite crowded during peak season, but there are many quieter beaches to explore, such as Lychnos and Sarakiniko.

Syvota: The Caribbean of Greece
The epitome of blue and green that adorns the region of Epirus, Syvota is considered among the most ‘exotic’ destinations in Greece.
The most famous beach in Agios Nikolaos is none other than the renowned Pisina, true to its name! White sand… turquoise transparent waters… surrounded by greenery. Another one of Syvota’s best-known attractions is the enchanting Bella Vraka beach. It is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece and is located near the village. The beach stretches for over 200 meters and has a unique feature where it partially connects to a tiny island via a natural bridge.
Zaloggo
Zaloggo or Zaloggo Mountains is a small bare mountain in Greece with an altitude of 462 meters, north of Preveza, above the village of Kamarina, and belongs to the Kassopean mountain range of Epirus.
The name of the mountain is associated with the pre-revolutionary period of 1821 and specifically with the legendary ‘Dance of Zaloggo’ when a group of Souliot women and men with their children decided to die free rather than fall into the hands of the Turkish-Albanians. At the western end of the plateau of Mount Zaloggo, the largest statue in Greece was erected during 1950-1961, titled the Zaloggo Monument, designed by sculptor George Zongolopoulos
